Gag Gift Ideas

When it comes to pulling off the ultimate prank or funny gift, you can’t go wrong with homemade gag gifts.  Not only can you make them on the spur of the moment, but they can also be quite inexpensive since you can concoct them from supplies you have laying around the house.  If you can’t come up with any ideas for what to make, here are some ideas to get you started.

Homemade Bug Killer – Get 2 small pieces of wood and label one as block A and one as block B.  Attach instructions that say, “Place bug on block A and smash with block B.”

Hillbilly Potpourri – Mix the following items into any kind of container:  peanut shells, beer can tabs, beer bottle caps and empty gun casings.  Label with “Hillbilly Potpourri.”  You can also use any other items that you feel would portray a hillbilly lifestyle.

Do It Yourself Straw Hat – Place some raffia type material into a bag and attach a label that reads, “Straw hat.  Some assembly required.”  Great idea for someone who can actually use the raffia after the joke is over.

Dustpan Cookies – Bake some cookies (or buy some at the store) and place them in a brand new clean dustpan.  Tie it up with cellophane or a bow and attach a poem that reads, “I was baking some cookies, When they dropped on the floor, So I scooped them right up, And rushed them to your door!”
